John Jones – Goytre
In the name of God Amen: I John Jones of the parish of Goytrey in the county of Monmouth, labourer, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, praised be God for the same, do make this my last will and testament in the following manner and form, namely:
I give and devise to my beloved wife Elizabeth Jones her heirs and assigns all that my messuage or tenement, situate, lying and being in the parish of Trevethin in the county of Monmouth to hold to her the said Elizabeth Jones, her heirs and assigns forever.
I give and bequeath to my son the sum of four pounds, to be paid to him by my daughters, at the expiration of one year after the death of my wife.
And as to all the rest and residue of all my personal estate, goods, chattels and effects of what nature or kind soever or wherever the same may be at the time of my death, I give and bequeath to my said loving wife Elizabeth Jones whom I hereby appoint sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will or wills by me at any time heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this only to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of June in the year of our Lord 1830.
