William Banfield
This indenture made the 29th day of September in the year of our Lord seaven hundred and three
Between the Rt Honourable George Lord Bergavenny of the one part and William Banfield of Goytrey Tailor, county of Monmouth of the other part.
Witness that the said Lord Bergavenny for and in consideration of the rent and covenant on the lessees part and behalf herein after menconed to be paid done and performed of the said Lord Bergavenny. Hath demised, granted and to ffarme, lett/on and by these presents doth demise grant and to fine lett unto the said William Banfield all that one cottage and 2 acres of land thereunto belonging being part of Pellenny Comon in the possession of him the said William Banfield, with its appurtenances except out of this demise all mines and quarries of oare stone coals.
To have and to hold the said premise with the appurtenances unto the said William Banfield his heirs and assigns for and during the respectful lives of him the said William Banfield and Mary and Anne his daughters for the life and the longest liver of them.
Yeilding the sum of two shillings per year and two shillings of every person dying, seized or alienation of the premises and dooing suite to the court of the said Lord Bergavenny
